I saw a homeland far away
Where nothing breaks and nothing fades
Where pain and death are distant flames
And all the skies still speak my name
I dreamed of white and silent coasts
To sail between the light and ghosts
A pirate stealing fire above
To spend it on the souls I love
I built my ship from thought and word
From silver dark and starlit earth
Its crew were shadows, grief, and flame
Lost hearts that never left my name
My cargo holds the lonely stones
Of wrath and pride I call my own
They shine like sins in mortal eyes
But here they sing through golden tides
And when we age, the seas grow dry
Desire fades beneath the sky
But westward stars still cut the mist
Where memory wakes in amethyst
The ports I want stay far from me
Beyond denial’s rock-filled sea
Still I will sail through night once more
Between the light and mortal shore
